April 2012 NEIGTO Minutes
Everyone:
What happened to the cruising weather? Just when I thought I could count on Global Warming...oh well! Anyhow, about 14 members met at Liberty Diner April 15th to discuss various items on the agenda, ably led in the discussion by President Jay. The effort to recruit POCI members was the first discussion point and it was suggested that we investigate a club banner that can be displayed at car shows, etc. We still need other suggestions to draw new members and existing POCI members...put your thinking hats on.
Next on the agenda was our web site...or lack of, actually. NEIGTO.com has expired and a new site will cost the club $280 initially and $15 per year every year after. A vote was taken and unanimously approved. President Obama has allocated Stimulus funds for this purpose, I have heard. Why not?
Sherry Fulbright suggested that we consider the NATMUS Museum for one of our meetings (I understand there is a really nice green 69 GTO there) and she volunteered to champion the effort to get the club some special services. Great idea maybe for the Fall 25th Anniversary Event??? Any other ideas would be welcome.
Finally discussed was the Detail Clinic (and brunch) to be held at Sweet Cars on May 12th...this will be our May meeting and we will probably cruise afterward to some burger place or??? for lunch. Suggestions needed. I told Mike Cardenas at Sweet Cars that we will have at least 6 GTO's at the Clinic...THAT'S A CHALLENGE FOLKS!
The meeting was adjourned sometime in the late afternoon, I am pretty sure, and a great time was had by all, also pretty sure.
See you all at Sweet Cars May 12th.
